GENERAL JOB

Equipment Custodian (EQC) is responsible for controlling, maintaining, and monitoring inventorial equipment.

Essential Primary Job Functions
  • Control, maintain, and monitor inventorial equipment.

  • Monitor inventorial equipment during the life cycle of the capital asset.

  • Process inventories by physically locating the equipment

Secondary Primary Job Functions
  • May be required to train other Equipment Custodian (EQC) and government personnel in the proper use, safe design, and improvements required for sustaining the support of Equipment Custodian Support Services.

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment and comply with all applicable security and safety regulations and OSHA standards.

None

JOB SKILLS
Required 
  • Provide for the development and sustainment of inventorial equipment.

  • Establish equipment requirements, adjust account authorizations, monitor equipment calibration cycles, and manage equipment slated for Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL).

Education and Experience for Equipment Custodian (EC)
  • Must possess a valid Secret Security Clearance adjudicated in the last five (5) years.

  • Must have a High School Diploma and GED.

  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as an Air Force Equipment Custodian performing monthly and annual account inventories and daily account management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics are representative of those performing essential functions of the job in an industrial production and repair environment and general office setting. Must be able to work sitting or standing. · May be required to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted. Minor cuts and scrapes are to be expected. Possible minor burns or shock from operating electrical equipment and or soldering equipment may be present. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) shall be expected to be worn and used when required. Standard work week generally applies; however, candidate will be expected to work as the requirement dictates.
